ArmorPlate™ factory coil coating protects the outdoor coil from harsh salt air. A specially formulated epoxy is permanently bonded to the coil surfaces. This advanced technology helps prevent the destructive galvanic corrosion that is common in coastal areas. WeatherShield™ protection and galvanized steel cabinet with a baked on paint finish protect against corrosion and keep your system looking its best for years. Carrier's compressor design has the most trouble-free performance record of any compressor on the market today.

Louvered steel coil guard promotes optimum airflow through the outdoor unit and prevents coil damage from rocks, sticks, lawn and sports equipment and more.

Greater Operational Efficiency

Carrier's Comfort™ Series heat pumps with WeatherShield™ protection are available with efficiency ratings up to 15.0 SEER when cooling and up to 8.8 HSPF when heating. For every $100 spent to cool your home using a 10.0 SEER heat pump, a 15.0 SEER heat pump should cost you approximately $67. Actual savings will depend on the efficiency of your current system compared to the efficiency of a new system.

Warranty

The Carrier Comfort™ Series heat pump is protected by a 10-year limited warranty on the compressor and a five-year limited warranty on the entire unit. Extended warranties are also available. Ask your Carrier dealer for details.

Technology

Rigorous testing by Carrier engineers has shown the WeatherShield™ coil to last three times longer than a standard coil in harsh coastal conditions. This improved performance is due to features such as the heavy-duty fin design that resists trapping salt water and the added protection of ArmorPlate™ coating.

ArmorPlate™ coil coating - protects the outdoor coil fins from harsh salt air. A specially formulated epoxy-phenolic coating is permanently bonded to the coil fin surfaces. Aerodynamic top - enhances airflow through the outdoor unit, and reduces noisy turbulence. Compressor - the heart of the heat pump, the compressor pumps refrigerant through the system. WeatherShield™ protection package - combines four design elements that protect your comfort: a. Galvanized steel cabinet b. Louvered steel coil guard c. Baked-on powder paint d.
